Dr. Lina Kogan holds a dual Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Industrial-Organizational Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from San Diego State University. Dr. Kogan possesses over 15 years of experience in mental health and organizational development fields, cognitive impairment interventions, strength-based case management, adult education, conflict management, career development; as well as, development and implementation of corporate training programs, change management coaching, and research/dissertation consulting.
Dr. Kogan has acquired a solid foundation in evidence-based treatment approaches, including, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Thinking for a Change, and Trauma Informed Therapy. She also specializes in risk assessment, crisis intervention/prevention; as well as, individual therapy focused on grief and loss, addiction and relapse prevention, family/couples therapy, etc.
Dr. Kogan has an extensive experience working with individuals with a wide range of psychiatric disorders in a variety of inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, which include: Alvarado Parkway Institute (API), Aurora Behavioral Healthcare, Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), New Vista Crisis Center, Douglas Young Clinic, Exodus Recovery, Inc., chemical dependence/addiction programs, Dementia and Cognitive Impairment Center, Adult Behavioral Health Court Residential Program, and Forensic Outpatient Psychosocial Recovery Program. She also provides bilingual clinical services in Russian and English. Dr. Kogan thrives in team-oriented collaborative organizational environments and incorporates her professional experience and clinical training in assisting clients in improving their mental health and overall well-being.
