Olabanji Adeniranye, M.A, LMFT

Dr. Adeniranye, Psy.D, LMFT, is a Licensed Couples and Family Therapist in California. He received his Doctorate of  Psychology; Couples and Family Therapy from The California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego, and a B.A in Psychology from the University of San Diego.

Dr. Adeniranye is experienced in family, individual and couples therapy using cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and systems approaches. He has experience in providing individual psychotherapy, process and psycho-educational group therapy, dual diagnosis treatment, and treatment for mood, anxiety, and addictive disorders.

Since 2012 Dr. Adeniranye has acquired experience working with adults, children, and adolescents with a wide range of psychiatric disorders and in a variety of settings including Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Alvarado Parkway Institute (API), Palomar Family Counseling Service, School Site-based Therapy for children and their families, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), forensic, inpatient and outpatient units with severe acute and chronic mental illnesses, substance abuse/ dependence, and co-occurring disorders.

As a DBT clinician, Dr. Adeniranye focuses on providing his clients with a nonjudgmental and safe environment where they collaborate to address thoughts, feelings, behaviors and beliefs that contribute to pain, suffering and conflict in their lives. Clients are encouraged to replace ineffective and maladaptive behaviors with constructive, healthy, and adaptive skills to improve regulation of emotion and enhance their lives.

Dr. Adeniranye is a military veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps and completed his Doctoral dissertation investigating the combat and post-combat experiences of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans without Posttraumatic stress disorder.
